Ghost in the Stacks • What are you looking forward to over the next week?
To see the death total after this quidditch match, its like HP meets Hunger Games meets Spartacus in here....

• What is your current read?
Artemis by Andy Weir The Sinner by Petra Hammesfahr

• Is there anything you would like us to do to make things easier?
Well I REALLY would of loved a slice of Samantha's Birthday Cake.

Jade aka MrsTosh (mrstosh) | 787 comments Hi all, Sorry I am a bit behind with reading this week as real life got in the way! Was at my Grandads Funeral on Thursday then my Mum took a nasty fall over the weekend and ended up in A&E. Luckily she is fine just badly bruised and home now resting. I've just had no time for reading.

Kaley (kaleyamo) | 1976 comments I can also pick up The Sun Is Also a Star for Astronomy if that works? All the copies are out at the library now so I’m not sure when I could start, but I’m first on the waitlist so I imagine it’ll be available sometime in the next week or so?

message 359: by Sharon (new)

Sharon (sharon_alexandr) | 544 comments Happy birthday Samantha!

• What are you looking forward to over the next week?
My anniversary is next weekend! My husband and I are celebrating six years. My book club also meets some time in the next week. We're reading Crazy Rich Asians and, while we do actually talk about the book, it's also an opportunity for all of us girls to get together and catch up (without kids for those members that have them!). And wine of course!

• What is your current read?
I have to finish my book club book. I'm also finishing Love and Other Consolation Prizes and I have Good as Gone out from the library.

• Is there anything you would like us to do to make things easier?
You guys are doing a great job! The posts with updates on to what we are still missing are really helpful. Thanks for all you do!

message 360: by Teresa (new)

Teresa (teresab78) | 1658 comments I finished Psychic Moon or astronomy

I have In Sunshine or in Shadow: Short Stories, Volume 1 to defeat the Vampire

and I have Remastering Jerna (Remastering Jerna, #1) by Ann Somerville Remastering Jerna for a bare neck.

I'm going to finish Harry Potter then listen to In Sunshine and read remastering at the same time

2 Astronomy books and a potion book.

We're looking for a girl without a necklace to go with [bookcover:The Glittering Court|27272506] for banishing charm.
Your book will work for DADA - fae characters, we need a title with Iron to match it 🙂

Unfortunately not. Also your astronomy book is more suited to our creature, we get 0.02points per page in Astronomy so we are trying to fill this with higher page counts, 500+ pgs gets us 10points or more.

I think I had mentioned I could do The Sun Is Also a Star for Astronomy but that one isn’t a page count... so do you not want me to? Just making sure I’m aiming my reads at things we need :)

Sharon (sharon_alexandr) | 544 comments Will this work for the History of Magic essay?

The Good Daughter said to The Ruthless Gentleman, "This Is Me: Loving the Person You Are Today. There are A Million Little Things I want to do in this lifetime, but, In the Meantime, Becoming Mrs. Lockwood is what I want right now. By Book or By Crook, let's run away and get married." And so they did and they lived happily ever after.

Louise | 3330 comments Abbie DiscoSuperFly wrote: "Just curious why the two books I read for ASTRONOMY are not showing up on the classes?"

Astronomy is the only class where we are rewarded for higher page books. 0.02 point per page, I've slotted these in for Spells at the moment. We can move books around so will move the to Astronomy if we don't have higher page counts.

Hannah (diamond_rebel) | 190 comments I think I am finally emerging for this awful reading slump. I finished Children of Blood and Bone (Legacy of Orïsha, #1) by Tomi Adeyemi a few days ago. Tonight I'm finishing We Are Legion (We Are Bob) (Bobiverse, #1) by Dennis E. Taylor . Then onto something else. I don't know what yet. I will check out the classes and maybe I can find something in there. Also I'm a quarter of the way through Glory in Death (In Death, #2) by J.D. Robb so that's something.

Did you end up liking Children of Blood and Bone?

message 397: by Snowtulip (new)

message 398: by M (new)

M Beal | 1680 comments We need one more for Astronomy correct? I am just wondering does it need to have things like Sun, Moon, Star (general terms) in the title or can the name of an actual moon be in the title.
example: Europa is a moon of Jupiter

I did!! Parts of it moved a little slower for me, but that was because I liked two of the POV characters better than the other.
