Yikes! I’ve heard about the book but don’t really know what it’s about. I didn’t know it was traumatizing...

And that is probably the best you can do with this book.
I started it some time back, but deleted it from my Kindle after 100 pages...

We'd like you to check in once a week to let us know that all is well, if only to say hi.
• What are you looking forward to over the next week?
• What is your current read?
• Is there anything you would like us to do to make things easier?

Just a short update this week as I'm off on vacation first thing in the morning.
We are doing really well and are currently lying in 4th place. Keep posting those books every point helps.
For SpellOuts be on the lookout for A, E, I and O.
Classes are nearly complete, if you have claimed a task and not able to complete this please let us know.
Tasks that are still open:
Astronomy - 1 book
Care Of Magical Creatures - 3 books (1 body part, 1 rating, 1 feeding)
Charms - Cheering (happy in title);
Mending (whole crown)
Summoning ( bouquet/flowers) in hand
DADA - Defence for Zombies - needs to be in the title
Divination - 1 book - divination tools
Potions - 2 books - Scale; Pestle & Mortar
Transfiguration- 1 book - match with butterfly
Quidditch - The next match starts 23rd June, head on over to the dungeon to try out. Matches will last a week with reserve players.
Tri-Wizard Cup - Starts July 1st
Have a good week all
Hello everyone!I'm currently reading
I was wondering if
Brothers In Arms would work as zombie defense - as men in arms, or the military is what would help kill a zombie apocalypse... Zombies don't really have a weakness like vampires and such do.
I also have With a Bullet but I need to read the book before it and they are both fairly long for me so it may take a few weeks.
Hello!I have been reading quite a bit this week. I can cover these ones.
Potions - Pestle & Mortar
I finished it today and posted it
Astronomy - 1 book
Mending (whole crown)
If you want me to do this one I can. I have one that will fit and will get the max amount of points for pages.
If there is something else you would like me to read for just tell me
Teresa wrote: "Hello everyone!I'm currently reading

Teresa wrote: "I also have With a Bullet but I need to read the book before it and they are both fairly long for me so it may take a few weeks."Just do what you can. We'll just keep communicating like we have been doing. We're at the halfway mark, so it'll be important to keep in mind what reads you have planned and if you're going to have time to finish them by the end of July.

Awesome! I'll get on top of assigning the potions book. If you feel like you can tackle the GoT book in time, I would say go for it. I know those books are really dense, but you've been reading quite a bit :)

As for me, I had a crappy week at work, but I've been getting some serious reading done. I'm still reading The Passage, but I have about 250 pages left and feel like I can finish that this week. Also just picked up The Redbreast (which is a re-read for me) because I realized I need to get on my Jo Nesbø books for this challenge to read them in order! lol Since I had a rough week, I just didn't want to pick up HP OotP because Harry is still as annoying as I remembered >.< Once I get through The Passage, I should be able to make more headway in HP.
Not really looking forward to anything this week except reading my books. A lot of the books from my book haul last week are going to fit in our challenges so I'm excited about getting to them all really soon.
I'll do my best to answer any questions you have and will be more present this week since Louise is out. If you notice anything, don't hesitate to ask or let me know! Thanks everyone, you're all amazing! <3

@Abbie - your post for The 50/50 Killer has a different page count from what you have posted in the thread. Could you check that please.
I'm finishing up
,
(has divination) and
; and in the middle of
Then I'll be starting my color books (my reading order changed because of library books):

I use transit to commute to work and it is 1.5 hours each way. Plenty of time to read a good book.
This week:Still reading
&
Just started re-listening to this, which has an I character.
I planned to start
this week too as it is a buddy read I believe starting tomorrow — so I’ll probably start that one once I finish The Perfect Mother — which should be before Tuesday night.

@ Sharon - Could you change the book Calypso to match the pages in your post? The edition you posted/on your shelf only said audiobook and doesn't have any page numbers.
Hey Snow, are you still planning on reading Hello Stranger? If you're not wanting to, Sandy already read it, so we can use it for Potions and you can read something else. If you still want to read it, that's totally fine as well. We can definitely use a second read of that book for spells. Just let me know so I know where to assign the book Sandy read. Hope that wasn't confusing!

I'm still going to read it because I have to see how that relationship goes ;)

I love Lisa Kleypas, so I think I'll have to try out that series :)

This is fixed
Samantha wrote: "Snowtulip wrote: "Samantha wrote: "Hey Snow, are you still planning on reading Hello Stranger? This week is looking less stressful so far. However, I usually say that and then something happens so we shall see! I started
, which the MC is a Wiccan and has mentioned divination techniques in passing so there is a good likelihood that she will use at least one in the book. I am making my way through
as well, but that is much slower. Then I also picked up
for while I'm working or running errands, its on my phone.
So, I'm in Vienna for the week. So I will get some reading done, but will not be at the computer much.My planned reading for the week:
a re-read, but I read it the last time years ago, and I probably remember more of the film than of the book.I will try again this week to finally read
and then also will hopefully manage to read
, as I need urgently a U for a spell-out.
Thanks Abbie!Looking good everyone :) thanks for checking in! I’ve been putting in a lot of books for spell outs and we desperately need Os and Is ( I think we need 9 Os and 10 Is). So if you notice a character when am I name, make sure to list it :)
I have a couple books out the from the library now that have some time before they're due back. I'll flip through them to see if any I or O names pop out at me and will read those first.

Thanks everyone! As I input books, if I'm seeing any letters that just aren't showing up, I'll let you all know <3

@Jade - I don't think any of the editions you posted for Bro Code match each other :/ Could you look through your post as well as the book on your shelf to make sure all the page numbers are the same? Thanks <3 (P.S. Everything for Runaway Bride was good :))
Just a quick note. I am going to finish Clash of Kings today. If no one has claimed/is working on it I have a book that fits Potions - Scale on cover. I can have it finished by Friday.Happy Solstice to everyone
Hi Karolyn! Welcome to the team 😊 I’m the co-captain for our team. Louise, the captain, is on vacation this week, but will be back on Saturday.
Hello everyone! Glad to be joining you, looks like I have some catching up to do on this thread :) I'm actually leaving on vacation in the morning, which is great because I'll get a lot of reading in. But... it might take me a few days to get my shelf set up and post the books I've read since TT started.
Here is my shelf with the books I've read since TT started. I'll work I'm adding these to the books read thread soon, I'll need to go back to check character names for letters we need. By dumb luck... I do have two books that start with "I" read! I'm starting Lincoln in the Bardo tomorrow. https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...
Sounds good Karolyn :) I’m not sure what you’re able to see on the google spreadsheet (it’s in one of the first posts on the first page of this thread), but you should be able to see what is needed for letters. We need a lot of vowels, especially I, O, and U, so keep an eye out for those specific letters when you’re going back through your books :) Welcome again to the team!
