Annalisa | 1573 comments I don't read ARCs, mostly because the library doesn't have them. Sorry I'm not more help. Also, knowing how big Words of Radiance is I'm wary to commit to anything else. I loved The Way of Kings, but it took me a significant amount of time to read.

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments E, Faithful Place can be used for Potions (samander blood) as it's a mystery/thriller.

Woo, awesome Kathleen!

No worries about the ARCs, Annalisa!! Words of Radiance definitely is a big one, so I can understand not wanting to commit to too much else. :-)

(Says the one who committed to a 1300 page classic.... >.> haha)

Mmhh, we have a few of those.

I wanted to let LaurLa have a browse through and see which books would be most useful for the spell-outs. Once she's done that, we'll see which book is left over for the murder mystery and will assign it to that class task.

Hehe yeah, that was my thought, too. If we can't come up with something else, then that is most likely going to be what happens ;-)

Locked In Silence (Pelican Bay, #1) by Sloane Kennedy is also a conveniently naked guy in the dark -> daylight with shirt and tool belt... ;-)

Ok, let's just wait and see what other books pop up (I'm sure LaurLa has a few more hot chests somewhere on her reading list that she can't wait to read, V certainly does, too) and then we'll see which ones we can mix and match to gain the best results!

Annalisa | 1573 comments I may have just joined another BR. I've been wanting to read Artemis for a while now and this will be motivation. I think by the start of next week I will likely be juggling reading 8/10 books at the same time. I think I may need help as that is way to many to keep up with. Hopefully I can finish a few of them this weekend an get it to a more reasonable number.

Why not make it a 9/10? Come join us in the Monte Cristo BR as well!;)

I committed to another chunky BR too. Sigh. All my thick fantasy books are being finally read one by one. Lol if they could talk they'd probably say "Finally I get to move from this shelf and be dusted off" haha.

I haven't read any Jim Butcher books before. I'm not sure he is the type of author I enjoy.

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments Oh I though we were talking about Monte Cristo! lol

Oh I'd want to read the first book The Name of the Wind, and then I might be interested in that with you. However, as I said way way to many books on my plate right now.

kat (wanderfulbooks) (wanderfulbooks) | 2329 comments This is predominantly yellow right?

If so, you can put it down for the yellow cover.

Annalisa | 1573 comments Starting to catch up with Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly discussion. However, I know that I will not be able to keep up. It is about 3 hours of audio for every section. I know I have tomorrow to listen to the next set of three hours but since I only have the CD and not the digital for my phone it limits when I get to listen. It has gotten much better. However, I'm still not sure of the book it isn't making me love it. This could change.

Tineye says it is 53.3 %Kournikova (Yellow), so I'd say yellow. Looking at it I have a hard time deciding between yellow and red.

You know, we don't actually have to use tineye. It's a nice way to verify when your eyes are playing tricks on you but if you see a book and think THAT colour, and it actually looks like it's the predominant one, that's fine :-)

For Ready Player One, I'm always confused. First thought is always yellow with that cover and then I see the red hehe. But yes, we can use that for yellow.

Uhm... now there's a question. Is it technically an ARC if it's publicly available for everyone?

I'm no expert, but as far as I know an ARC is provided to certain people to read before publication but isn't available to everyone.

So I'm thinking no for this one, sorry.

But yay! Enjoy!!
I need to read #3 actually.

Also, our transfiguration classes are coming along nicely!

Natasha read a book with a crab on the cover that would be too good to pass up. So if you have something on a cover that you would like to transfigure into a crab, give a shout in the completion post. :-)

Yes!

What do you think?

Hmm, we probably shouldn't count it as yellow in one place and red for another, but if you're going to read it in June, we have another yellow spot available so I'll slot you in for that one.
