SOLVED: Adult Fiction > SOLVED. Fantasy; Had a main creature character who was sold as a kit into being a pet, then ran away into fighting. It's fantasy with a little bit of science? Not Warriors. [s]

Alex (ttltrashmammal) | 4 comments I bought the series at a yard sale back in 2011 and read them then. They had a main female creature character (almost feline) who was sold as a kit into being a pet, then ran away into fighting. Has three books and has the main character on the cover in all of them. I also vaguely remember the main character being in a lab in the very end with other species and then eventually escaping. It was so long ago though and I want to re-read them now, however I can't remember the name or author.

Tab (tabbrown) | 5064 comments Was this for kids, teens, or adults?
Time period/location story takes place?

Were there human characters in the book? Could the main character communicate with the humans?

Alex (ttltrashmammal) | 4 comments I don't know the age frame, but the way the story was written seems to be in the future? It was in its own universe. And as far as I can remember, there were no humans. There were human-like creatures, but I dont recall any humans.

Alex (ttltrashmammal) | 4 comments It was a really thick book with small print, so at least teen if not adult.
