Lauren was sitting in the library, reading about the science of Quidditch

Cant walked in, humming under his breath.

"This is a library, not the music room," Lauren said

"Correct," Cant said. "And that's why I'm humming under my breath, instead of obnoxiously loud."

She rolled her eyes and looked up from her book

"I'm Cant," He said, extending his hand.

"I'm Lauren," she took his hand

"The science of Quidditch," she showed him the book.

"Yes." She said like it was obvious and a fact

"I guess you like quidditch then," Cant said.

"Do you like Quidditch?" She asked

"Sort of," Cant said.

"Ah," she smiled

"Yes," Cant said. "I should probably go study. That's why I'm here. At the library I mean."

"What subject?" She asked, closing her book

"All of them," Cant said, grinning sheepishly. "I don't pay much attention in class."

"Well lucky for you I'm a Ravenclaw and I can help!" She smiled

"Yay," Cant said, stoic.

"Oh cmon, be a bit more enthusiastic! Or we can go do something fun..." She suggested

"That," Cant said, pointing at her. "The second one."

"Alight then. What should we do?" She asked as she got up to put her book away

"Hmm," Cant said. "What a good question."

"Wanna sneak to the shrieking shack?"

"Yes!" Cant said. "That is a wonderful idea. Lead on."

"Why don't you." She said

"Okay," Cant said, and stood up.

She followed him out the library

Nita walked into the library. She opened a book and started to study.

Scarlett moved across the shelves, looking for something interesting to read. Out the corner of her eye she saw a dark haired girl. She smiled and waved subtly.

Scarlett finally found a book and sat down to examine the first pages, a thing she often did to make sure she was interested. She looked at the other girl curiously again. Her tie definitely wasn't green. She hoped she wouldn't think she was a rotten Slytherin.

Nite looked over. "Hi!" She said quietly. She smiled at her.

Scarlett smiled, relieved. "Hi," she said, examining the girl's book. "What are you reading?"

"Hogwarts history." Nita said sticking out her tongue. She smiled jokingly, not sure if Scarlett was a ravenclaw. She didn't want to offend her. Her pet rat, Mr. G climbed over to examine Scarlett.

Scarlett screeched in surprise when she saw the rat climb out from beneath the younger girl's hair.

"Mr G." Nita scolded the rat. She pulled him back over to her and had him sit in her lap. "Sorry." She told Scarlett.

"It's okay. He just sort of startled me. I didn't know he was your pet, and you know, with this library being a little bit old and everything..." She stammered.
