Liane | 74 comments Just finished reading today Alpha by Tiya Rayne. It was great read! One of those books that grab you from the beginning and hold you hostage until you finish reading.

Getting it now. These kind of paranormal books featuring black women are few. So, I'm excited about this one!

Finished it. I love these kinds of books. But I would warn people that there are definitely several triggers in it.

Nikki Chase-Coakley | 8 comments Reading Purrfect for Me by Terry Bolryder but I am also writing one called His by Design. Hopefully it will be out soon depending on whether or not I can work out a decent ending that my editor won't make me go back and re-write. Hate feeling this frustrated.

Finished it this morning. Loved it. I also loved Tiya Rayne's "Lilly" series.

Is it funny, that like a typical Libra the title of that book makes me want to read it? lol

Kindle unlimited is a subscription book service that allows you to read certain books for free. As for kindles, I read on my iPad from the kindle app.

I really found that one cute.

Justine | 1361 comments I'm a bit ambivalent about this. There's lots of sex but I'm not feeling the characters. I think I'm going to return it for a refund.

It was a DNF for me as well.... The initial sex was definitely overcooked/pornaliciois, and was just a little to much for me to digest.

The hero seemed rather cartoonish to me as well. The heroine is in law school and has become an escort in order to pay for her her degree. The idiot didn't think that perhaps her secret would get out ever

Justine | 1361 comments Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this book. Very well written. Sexy hero and heroine. No silly, stupid, over the top, asinine, ridiculous, drama.
Beyond Ordinary Love (Journey's End Billionaires, #2) by Ann Christopher

message 72: by TinaNoir (new)

TinaNoir | 1456 comments Two of my favorite IR books I've read so far this year are ones where the author includes the heroine's work as part of the story. Not only that, but the heroine is really good at her job and I love that.

One is Pas De Deux A Dance For Two by Lynn Turner by Lynn Turner. The heroine is a ballerina and the descriptions of the rehearsals and the performances are excellent. Here is my review.

The other one Illegally Yours (Laws of Attraction, #2) by Kate Meader by Kate Meader. The heroine is a whiskey sommelier. Here is my review

The second book isn't slated for publication til next month. I got and ARC for it.

I'm going to try that first one Tina. I love dance themes.
