So I love Dresden and found Alex Verus shortly after it came out but gave up around Burned Just because I found Alex to be Extremely unlikeable and unrelatable . he seems selfish unwilling to take help when offered and just doesn't seem to think about anyone or anything beyond his circle. So does any of this get addressed in later books? I want to like this series, especially since Jim Butcher himself speaks so highly of it but its a long hard slog

Harrison, you got further than I did. I'm afraid I stopped at book #4 Chosen. I figured someday I may give it another try, but it has been quite a while now, so I'm not so sure about that anymore.
