I read it in mid 2000s probably. I think it was published around that time as well. I read it in English as a softcover book. I remember the cover being teal with the robot on it, I think the robot had a weird name that was may have been the title or related to the title, it is set in the future. The world had robots but they didn't have feelings, they just were butlers, etc. The dad of the family was a scientist/engineer and so he brought home this new robot that had feelings/consciousness. There was a mom and two kids (daughter and son, i think). There are self-driving cars. Conflict about the robot learning how to feel, etc. and the morals of it.
