(view spoiler)[I loved the first part. This goes forward really smoothly and I don't find characters annoying at all. And I love the hint of romance and feel for them - they have their past together but things went wrong. I am rooting for them and I am hoping that they find some future together. I also love Dal, he's a great secondary character and a great friend for the prince. I am intrigued by these creatures: who send them and where are they coming from. So mysterious. Something's happening but we can just guess what. This world is really fascinating but also dangerous and dark. And what is the story of Kate's father. I don't believe that he was a traitor. He propably attacked because the king was possessed by some spirit or something. (hide spoiler)]

Yes I love the different magics, I didn't know this had magics! I also felt for the horse, but relatable that she didn't go with him :(

Yes there's definitely some other reason behind her father's actions! I love the way this world is set out, nothing feels confusing so far, and I also love these characters and I understand their relationship. I can't wait to see what happens next! I just finished Part 1 and want to read the rest of this book today. It'll be stressful haha

I finished and really liked this too. (view spoiler)[I agree that it was a smart move: we hate how not telling something creates problems later. I loved how honest she was and also how he took it. And thank goodness there weren't annoying characters - they were really fabulous actually! (hide spoiler)]

I'm waiting to buy the sequel from Amazon and it might have to be after my Europe trip in 2.5 weeks. So if we plan this for maybe mid July?
