I think this is a book for teens or young adults, but not sure, i read it as a kid (11 years old i think). In the cover there was a guy holding a sword, it was a redheaded guy i think. Also i think there was dwarves or something like that forging weapons i a mountain.

At the end when they defeated the main villain he wasnt really dead, a guard who was saided with him delivered the final blow cause it had to be done with glass or crystal i think.
