SOLVED. YA 90s book, boy called Kieron with a horse, possibly Sweet Dreams. [s]

I read a book that started with a girl imagining she was on a sunbed somewhere - I remember it said her toenails were "cherry red." She was actually working - possibly at a ranch or somewhere? I think there is another guy who she likes in the story but eventually she realises she has fallen for a guy called Kieron who is Irish and works with horses. I was sure it was a Sweet Dreams book but none of the book descriptions fit so it may have just been around at the same time. I'd love to read it again!

I can't remember the cover but it was a young adult romance sort of novel and was set at the time it was written, so in the 90s. Think it was probably American and the character would have been about 16 or 17.
I'm fairly sure she had blonde hair!

Hi all, this book has driven me mad for years! I could have sworn it was a Sweet Dreams series book but none of them match up so if it’s not that then it’s in the same vein. The premise was something along the lines of a girl having to go to some sort of ranch or camp to work for the summer. It definitely started with her talking about laying on a sun lounger with a parasol, drink etc and her toenails were painted cherry red but she was actually imagining most of it and was going to be working soon. I’m sure there was a guy she liked who wasn’t very nice and at the end of the book she realises she loves the nice horse riding guy, who I’m sure was Irish and called Kieran! If it’s not a Sweet Dreams book, could it be a First Love from Silhouette book? They were big around the same time.

I’ve found this book! It was a Lovelines in the UK but Dolly Book in Australia and it’s Nowhere Girl by Gilly Jackson - I found it so randomly after years of searching!
