It was a tough month of voting in that lots of books were nominated with a few points and we almost had to have a revote. But, one book finally pulled through with the 10 vote minimum required to prevent a revote. The winners are...

1) Fathers and Sons Popular Choice
2) The Wonderful O Randomizer choice

So which book will you be reading in June?

Diane | 2044 comments Sadly, neither. I have already read both.

Hopefully one of the other yearly challenge books will be a good fit for you.

Dree | 243 comments I have read Thurber’s book, so if I get to one it will be Fathers and Sons.

Pip | 1822 comments I haven't been able to locate The Story of O yet. Hope I can get a copy on interloan. I have the Turgenev and look forward to reading it as I liked Virgin Soil.

Kelly_Hunsaker_reads ... | 902 comments I already own Fathers and Sons, so I will read that. Not sure if I can get a copy of the other but I will try!

George P. | 725 comments I've had Fathers & Sons in my to-read list, though a long way out, so I will read that. The Wonderful O seems hard to find- I'm not keen on paying $13 for it as an 80 page Kindle book- sorry Amazon.
I could get Thurber's The 13 Clocks from the library here, which is his other listed book. Perhaps I'll read that as well and talk about that one a bit in the discussion.

Dianne | 225 comments I just finished Fathers and Sons so happy to chime in on the discussion for that.

Daisey | 332 comments It looks like I have library access to Fathers and Sons, so I'll probably try for that one.

Tracy (tstan) | 559 comments I liked both of these very much.
But since I’ve read them both, I’ll focus on the challenges this month.

I plan to read Fathers and Sons and I own The Wonderful O said can read it the third time, as it is quick.

Paula S (paula_s) | 220 comments I plan on rereading Fathers and sons. I'm not sure about The wonderful O. It sounds interesting.

Jamie Barringer (Ravenmount) (ravenmount) | 555 comments My sister was just talking about Turgenev, so I may try to read Fathers and Sons in June. I know I can find a copy in one of my siblings' collections. The Wonderful O is a possibility too, but I will definitely have to use ILL to get it, so it may take longer to acquire.

message 16: by Becky (new)

Becky I would like to get to Fathers and Sons, but I JUST picked up Titus Groan from my library and really wanted to read that. As I won't be finishing it in time for April's tag, I'll just read it in May. It looks like a whopper so it'll probably take me a while...

message 17: by Chinook (new)

Chinook | 282 comments The library has Fathers and Sons on kindle and I requested they get the Thurber - though I doubt if they do, it would be soon enough. I may seek out a paper copy, since it’s short.

Thanks Chinook, you're down for Fathers and Sons then.

Leni Iversen (leniverse) | 568 comments My library has just changed their eBook service and the new one has Fathers and Sons as audiobook. Yay! So I'll join that discussion.

message 22: by Chinook (new)

Chinook | 282 comments I out up a couple of pre-reading questions for Fathers and Soms and will hopefully start the book myself this weekend.

Got a paper copy of The Wonderful O as well, so I’m all set.
