Elizabeth Meadows (lizziefaye) | 424 comments It's pretty hard to find an Amish themed book without an Amish head covering of some kind on the cover, so this one should be no problem. Let us know what you are reading.

That sounds like a very interesting book. It seems like most of the Amish books that I've read are from a female perspective. It would be nice to read something from a male perspective. I think I will add this one to my list. Thanks Dee!

Elizabeth Meadows (lizziefaye) | 424 comments Five of the eight books that I read for the readathon would have met this challenge, but the two that I picked specifically were The Sunroom by Beverly Lewis and The Half Stitched Amish Quilting Club.

The Sunroom wasn't really an Amish book, but featured an Amish Doll on the cover who was wearing an Amish bonnet. The story was very heartfelt and I enjoyed it. It was about a young girl who's mother is fighting cancer.

The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club by Wanda Brunstetter was my favorite book of the week, with a nice diverse group of characters and back stories. It is the first in a trilogy. In fact if anyone else is interested in reading this trilogy, I could start a discussion thread for it. Let me know.
