The Kindle Book Cover is Different from the Paperback--Please Change

Dear Goodreads Librarians,

I need help updating the cover of my e-book only. The Kindle Book format has a different cover from the paperback on Amazon. Should I add a new e-book with the same ASIN number to my book catalog or the cover can be updated? Thank you!

Goodreads is a book cataloging site. As such, we keep all old covers. When books are reissued with new covers, we add new editions. So yes, you need to add a new kindle edition of your book with the new cover. Use the day the new cover was released as the publication date. Then move the ASIN from the old edition to the new edition. It would also help if you left a note on the old edition that it is an alternate cover edition of that ASIN. For more info, see here:
