"I grew up in Britain." She said then her eyes got sad, and she looked at her feet remembering her parents.

"Nice. Isn't London amazing?" Queenie asked, but Lewis broke in, saying "is this the travel agency, or a mission?"
Brooke smirked, "Well it's not everyday I meet someone, and it is very beautiful." She said.
"Why thank you!" Queenie laughed at Lewis. "It's not often I meet another countrywomen!"
She smiled, "I'm Brooke by the way." She said sticking out her hand.
Lewis was straining to go. "Guys, are you ready?"
Brooke looked back at him, and nodded. "I'm ready when you guys are." She said.
"Let's go." Queenie said, all traces of playfulness gone. She led the group to the dark realm.((Meet you in the dark realm?))
Jaxson walked into the large spacious library.
Lakota was sitting in a chair, reading intently.
"What?" Lakota said looking up from her book. "Oh, hello!"
"Hey, I'm Jaxson."he held out his hand,
Lakota looked at his hand before realizing she was supposed to shake it. "Oh, hi!" She tried to gently set down her book, but instead it fell onto the floor. She winced, and while picking it up said " hi, I am Lakota."
"Nice to meet you." He smiled. "So whatcha reading?"
Lakota looked at the cover. "Well, I just picked a random book of the shelf and started reading it, so, I didn't really know... But it is science fiction."((Am I allowed to use the name of a real book? I think I am, but you never know.))
((Yeah. Or you can just change a word :) ))"Cool!" Jaxson sat down in the other wicker chair on the porch.
"Here is the title! It is called I Am Number Five." Said Lakota. ((XD))
"I remember that book!" Jaxson frowned. "Although I thought it was I am number 4. Maybe I was wrong…"
Lakota looked closer at the title. "Oh whoops! It is I Am Number Four. Good catch!"
"Hey, I'm going to the training chamber." Jaxson smiled. "Want to come?"
"Yeah, sure!" Lakota smiles brighter. "Wow, he is cute..." A hand flew to her mouth when she realized she had said that out loud. Lakota's face turned bright red.
Jaxson saw how embarrassed she was, so he pretended he had been temporarily deaf.
Lakota thinks he didn't hear her and pulled down her hand.
"So, do you want to practice with your powers?" Jaxson told Lakota about a secret training area of his.
"Umm..." Lakota nervously played with her fingers. "No powers?"
"Funny." Jaxson laughed grimly. "Don't believe it for a second."
"No really... None..." Fear is evident in Lakota's eyes.
Jaxson said more forcefully, "a light lantern has powers. Period. No question." He saw the weirdest thing… she had little flames dancing in her eyes. "What's with the flames?" He asked.
Lakota closes her eyes and faces the other way. "Nothing. I never use my powers." Lakota is shaking.
"Lakota, what's wrong?" Jaxson was nervous.
"Nothing. I am fine." A few tears run down her cheeks.
"No you're not." With surprising gentleness, Jaxson looked into her eyes. "Tell me."
Lakota looks at Jaxson and sighs. She wipes the tears from her face. "My parents sold me to the light to save them... Because they accidentally set our house on fire." She takes a huge breath and then continues. "I still have a scar from the burns. Also, the first time I got my powers... I almost killed people." Lakota heaved a sob.
"Oh, I'm so sorry," Jaxson could understand her pain. He remembered how his dad had died in the car crash, and how his mom and his sister had been separated,
Lakota hugs herself and looks at him. "Thanks.." Her eyes are red and puffy. She sniffs.
"Hey, when I was little, my parents almost killed each other. My sister and I used our powers for the first time to hold them apart. That was how we learned control, keeping our parents from hurting each other." Jaxson whispered, ashamed.
Lakota looked at him. "I am sorry. Really truly. It is not your fault." She truly felt very sorry for him.
"Yeah. They split up, and my mom took my sister." Jaxson looked down, on the verge of tearing up himself. "I just found her now."
"I am really sorry." Lakota tries to think of a way to make him happy again. She hated seeing anybody cry.
"Thanks." Jaxson looked up slowly. "Seems everybody here has their own soap opera."
Lakota starts singing jokingly. "Very opraey. Is that even a word?" She laughs a little.
"Maybe." Jaxson tried to put in a happy face. It was hard. He thought 'how do I pretend to be happy when my sister hates me?
Lakota sighs, knowing that she is not making either of them feel better. "I don't think it is a word."
