Hey guys maybe we could do a team read of
??
A lot of the words in the title are used mutiple times.
If (3 times) with (7 times) me (5 times)
I read it a couple of years ago. It's an okay read but it's super quick and we could wait to use the words later?
Also I have access to a LOT of romance books in my Overdrive so I can find things for those weird words like "doorstep" and "deliver"

And I can do broken prince towards the middle of the month?

Yeah that sounds like a good idea, a team read :D I'll see if my OverDrive has it, otherwise I'll request it as physical.

I'm not sure I'll find sometime throughout the month. I'll work around when you guys are reading it.

Well I know the rules with BRs is that you can read up to two weeks early and as late as two weeks after the start date so maybe we could put it in the middle of the month and people could read it in between their other BRs?

Hmmm...is the 10th too early? I can also do the 14th.

10th is fine :)

@Shae Great! It's requested. Here's the link:

I added a "Current Points"" and "Words Completed" count in the end of our "Progress (word-by-word)" Spreadsheet.
It will help us keep track of our points and words :)

I think it's 1 week early.
Sorry I don't know what happened, must have missed a notification somewhere!

I'm really hesitant to add more books to the ss, so I'll just add them as I read. I have no order just yet, apart from Clockwork Prince on the 8th, which I'll add in closer to the time. But I'll just read based on what I've put into the ss for now, and then mood read based on letters later on I think, as the next 2 months I'm trying something new with my TBR.
How's everyone going? Getting ready for next month?
I'll be starting in my time zone next month, so I'm approx 19 hours ahead of GR time I think. Actually that depends whether or not I get anything that before GR start time, because I have 2 tests on the 2nd of the month, so the 1st will mainly be dedicated to study. We'll just see.

I'll have page points with Acowar and probably some of Final Empire when the first of the month rolls around, as I want to get those ones read before I pick up another one. I don't want any loose ends.
Also have you read Bravelands yet? Or just Twilight? Idk when I'll get to Twilight.
I'm also putting my Clockwork Prince into the ss now.

Found somewhere for my Clockwork Prince under another edition, used it as a K to complete the word MAKE :)
Checking over the ss to see if it all works, and if it is another edition of the book you're reading that works for a letter can you put that in the notes? Because, Maica, I can't see how Renegades works for the letter 'n'?
Same as how Crown of Midnight works for 'how'?
Quirks, does your edition of Making Faces have a 3-letter title starting with S M and I? Otherwise I don't see how it works for SMI.
Julianne, Shadowlands doesn't count for 'had' as that word isn't in the chorus. Only if it's in the chorus can we use parts of another word.
Sorry just being real picky with the ss, trying to make sense of it before the month starts. What is everyone starting off with? I want to see what book I should start with, what line we can finish off first.

I'll be starting 15 hours ahead of GR time. The first book I'll pick up is probably ACOFAS or Royals :)
Little message from Sarah: Hey guys, just a little reminder, its the 29th today and so far I have only had one team tell me which word they are passing. You now have around 71 hours left to tell me which word you are passing, if you haven't told me by May 2nd 00.00 Goodreads time, then you will lose your pass. (Just in case you hadn't spotted that in the rules).

Nope, only first letters of words count. So the rules for the verses (non-italics on the ss) are we can either use one of two methods:
1. First letters of the words in the title (foreign editions are allowed)
OR
2. One whole word of the title for one word of the song.
Rules for the chorus:
1. First letters of the words in the title (foreign editions are allowed)
OR
2. One whole word of the title for one word of the song
OR
3. Chunks of a word within the title. So for example you had the word 'chow' in the title of your book, it could count for the word 'how' as that is in the song. However, it could not count for the word 'cow' as those letters are not connected in the title, they are interrupted by the 'h'.

I'm thinking we should skip the word 'levee', as it appears 14 times, and it'll be really hard to find titles with Vs in them, and double Es don't really come around all that often. Or maybe 'bye', which is also 14 times?
Marching won't be too hard, as it's only around twice. And Shae and I could read a book called 'March', taking out those 2 'March', leaving us only with 'ing' as it's in the chorus so we can use chunks of words.

Yeah I agree. Let's just see what the other members think.
Also Sarah's going to message Emily tomorrow, as she hasn't checked in yet.

We're probably never going to get to the word MARCHING anyway XD It's way far down the song. And it'll take ages to get one line done.

You're right I'm going to be happy once we make it to the chorus xD
XD Let's just see what happens.
I can't wait for the month to start! What book are you going to start with? And have you fixed up the ss? Preferably only find words for books you're reading soon within the first 10 lines, as that's all we have access to just now.

I'm starting with ACOFAS first. That was one of my most anticipated releases of 2018. I'm still fixing the ss. I'm just looking for other editions xD
Okay cool, thanks :D Is it all still working out? Or do you have to change letters?
I want to get to Acofas first, but I've still gotta finish Acowar XD I'm 50% in, and I was going to finish this month, but don't have the time. So I'll be focusing that after I finish Nevernight, which is going to be my first read of the month. I've got the audio for Nevernight, so I might chuck that on 3x speed and read along while I do it, assuming I can still follow the story with the audio that fast. I need to properly understand this story, so if that doesn't work then I'll just take my time.

My copy of Acofas isn't going to come for around 2-3 weeks anyway as I'm getting a book box and shipping takes ages to get to me.

Wow 3x! The most I can do is 2x then I get confused about what's happening xD Awww that's sucks. I hope your book box arrives earlier
Yeah haha I listen on 3x, gotta get lots of points for the team!
It won't come earlier XD But that's alright, as I still haven't finished up Acowar, got another 350pg to go, and I need the time to read that.

Yay I'm glad you understand it now :)
I'm loving it :D I need to finish it, but it's the same as acomaf XD It's so intimidating that I don't really want to read it, it's too big. But I will get to it next month :D I'll still get us page points which is good.
