Also Natalie made a master copy of a spreadsheet we could use for next month, not sure how to edit it or what the story is with that, but here's the link. I think there are a few irrelevant columns that we could potentially take out, but we'll see.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

message 3: by Natalie (new)

Natalie (esaria) | 4273 comments You beat me to it Maddison! XD;;

Here's what I was GOING to post :P

---

The spreadsheet I made can be found here if you'd like to use it:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

I've got a few different "worksheets" on this, which can be accessed via the tabs at the bottom. These include a basic "info" spreadsheet, an Progress (word-by-word) sheet, an "EXAMPLE" spreadsheet which explains how the Progress (word-by-word) sheet works, a Progress (sentence-by-sentence) sheet, and a "word count" sheet where I did a count of all the times each word appears in the song to make it easier to choose which word your team might like to pass on.

If you want to use it, please follow these steps to make a copy for your own use:
1. Click "File" (top left corner)
2. Click "Make a copy"
3. Fill in the details for what you want it to be called, where you want it to be stored in your own Google Drive, and whether you want to share it.
Note that in the copy you make there will be a "SHARE" blue button on the top-right corner of the spreadsheet. You can change how it is shared to "Link sharing" so that anyone with the link to your copy of the spreadsheet can view/comment/edit

If you have any questions please let me know! (Hopefully I covered everything...)

Sweet hihi :D So excited you guys have no idea XD

Possible TBR:
Acofas
Throne of Glass series
Red Queen series (main focus)
Edge Chronicles series (maybe with Shae)
Nicole and I are also planning on reading a few more Warriors and Bravelands books
Nevernight (if I don't finish it this month, which I doubt I will)
Fate of the Tearling (Nicole and Shae)
Hopefully Enna Burning, the next Daniel X, the next Woman's Murder Club, as well as a bunch of others :p

And we'll just take it from there.

Hey guys! :D

What are your reading plans for the month? I feel like this challenge will be pretty easy to read for, nothing too specific.

Yeah no worries xD

I know I probably won't read it but thats coz I just have no interest in the series xD I'll get rid of them once I've read them I think

I think we should wait a bit more to plan XD As not everyone's checked in. But I think it'll be pretty simple.

Vivi | 1374 comments Hi guys, I'm checking in.

Took a look throught the spreadsheet and it is really good... it has Everything there! Well done Natalie! :)

So, how do we wanna do this? Do we go Line by line (we focuse in completing a certain line) or do we just read a book for any word in the 10 lines?

I have still to fully decide on the books I'll be reading.

Sweet we could BR Acofas depending on when you want to read it and when I manage to get it. I'm not sure whether or not I should buy it on release day because it's coming in a book box I ordered, but I know that the book box will not arrive for a few weeks, and I'm not sure I can wait that long. So we'll have to wait and see. I was going to say we could also read War Storm but I can't re-read King's Cage until the 31st of May because that's when I read it last year. But I will be re-reading Red Queen and Glass Sword next month for sure. Not sure if the novellas are required, so I might skip them.

I'm thinking we just read for whatever, but when we get close to a line we focus on that line? Because I don't want to really restrict myself next month.

We still need to edit that ss as Natalie kindly showed us how to do, but that's the master XD

message 23: by Shae (new)

Shae Petersen | 6944 comments I have The Belles (The Belles #1) by Dhonielle Clayton A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks planned and like Maddie want to do throne of glass and red queen, but other than that I’ll be mood reading a bit. I also want to get through some netgalleys. Might go through them and see if any have words for the lines as that could determine which ones, otherwise I’ll jusy read whatever and use the letters :)

message 24: by Vivi (new)

Vivi | 1374 comments Okay, so I'll just stick to the books I have/want to read that work for some words or letters. :)

message 25: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53684 comments Mod
Oh Shae and I are also reading The New Dark by Lorraine Thomson

I'm also planning on mood-reading my way through my Netgalleys. Know they won't be BRs but as we're going medium we should be alright. I can always pick up BRs later on, it'll be no sweat.

message 26: by Shae (new)

Shae Petersen | 6944 comments If I have the netgalleys I’ll buddy them :P my mission today is to look through and see if any have words that are the same, otherwise I’ll just use the letter.

Does anyone know if the word in the line said “news” and you had a book with the word “new” in it, could you use the whole world or because it isn’t exactly the same you just have to use “n”?

message 27: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53684 comments Mod
Yeah I'll need to do that as well, but we also just need to read. Honestly it's so close between us and Valencia this month, we really gotta push. Andrea and I are determined to win this month, it's just been so close all month and we won't feel fulfilled XD So I'm going to go and read.

Vivi | 1374 comments So, I've made a copy of the spreadsheet that we can use for our team, here's the link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

I guess we will all use and update this one, right?!

message 30: by Vivi (last edited Apr 23, 2018 10:11AM) (new)

Vivi | 1374 comments Hey guys,

I've noticed that in our Spreadsheet the points don't add up in the "Info&such" tab, when we put YES to the "word completed" part in the "Progress (word-by-word)" tab. And it was suposed to add the points automatically once we put YES in there...

Can anyone take a look at this and fix it? I don't know how.

message 31: by Eesh (new)

Also make sure you put highest page counts in.

message 37: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53684 comments Mod
Oh I've had to request access. Bummer.

I'm also planning on starting off the month with Nevernight. I'll need to use that for just a single letter. Maybe in the word 'on' or 'news'? I can't see 'news' being found in a title..

But the rules are different for the chorus apparently. I still don't properly get it.

message 38: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53684 comments Mod
I think I might just actually read what works for the first spare word I find on the ss XD So that way I am still mood reading but only out of a selection of books that have those words in their titles XD

I think we should also agree on a few words that we will be spelling-out, so that we know what letters to find in our book titles.

message 39: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53684 comments Mod
Also wanting to read Fawkes by Nadine Brandes which'll need to be a spell-out.

Can we move letters later? As it might be easier to do it that way so we aren’t locked into spelling out certain words, as we might come across a book with the word and that will speed it up and just move the letters to another word that needs doing?

message 44: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53684 comments Mod
Okay thanks Vivi I'll try that spreadsheet link :D

Okay, but I'll be reading Nevernight and Fawkes close to the start of the month. And remember that we can't complete all of the lines yet, just the first 10 or something I think.

I'm going to put Throne of Glass down for the 'GO' in AGO, just leaving us with an A from another book.

Vivi | 1374 comments Maddison wrote: "I'm confused what the progress tab means."

you mean the "progress sentence by sentence" tab? I guess we just need to use and focus on the "progress word by word" tab.

message 48: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53684 comments Mod
Yeah that's what I think too :)

So do I just leave Nevernight for now? And Fawkes? Only add them in when I finish them? Because I'm not sure where to add them.

message 49: by Vivi (new)

Vivi | 1374 comments Maddison wrote: "I'm going to put Throne of Glass down for the 'GO' in AGO, just leaving us with an A from another book."

Great! that just leaves an A title book to complete the "ago" word.

message 50: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53684 comments Mod
Yeah.

Also using Beyond the Deepwoods for 'they'd' in line 5. As they'd is really needed for spell-out XD
