SOLVED. YA Fiction About a Dog in Medieval Times. [s]

I do not know when I read this book, unfortunately, I do however know the book was probably published sometime past the year 2000. From my vague memories, it took in Medieval times and it was from the perspective of a mother dog. I remember they constantly referred to the mother dog as a 'bitch' throughout the whole book. The momma dog, I am pretty sure, has a litter of puppies eventually.
