I read this in February, so may poke my head in once in a while to see how it's going. :-)If you're curious, this is the old group read thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I had a friend who recommended this book to me (and he knows what will interest me!). HOWEVER - he suggested I watch the movie first. I did. I watched the 2002 version from Netflix. Oh my gosh! What a great movie! Inspired me to read this very long book. I listened to it via the audio version. I would never have picked up on all the characters if my friend had not suggested watching the movie first. Nice to have a casual friend that can "read me like a book"! Great story!
That movie was great! I’ve watched it a bunch of times. Richard Harris is great. I miss him. I know people may disagree with me, but I liked him way better as dumbledore. I like Michael Gambon a lot, but Harris is better. I can’t wait to read the book. I’ve wanted to for years, but have never gotten around to it.
HelloI am new here. I will start reading The Count of Monte Cristo next month. Could we plan a schedule for chapter-wise reading. It will much easy and better for discussion.
If you have already started reading then I will try and catch up.
