@syl: you have already suggested shutter island to me .... have read it in a single sitting (golden days :P)and have watched the movie also .absolutely loved both . movie slightly better than the book..or may be its dicaprio :)

thank you G :)
will try to read it ASAP :)

Format :kindle
Review :2.75647864 I desperately wanted them to shine brighter stars
first thing first I was reading a proper novel after a long time and while I enjoyed the first half of the story it went down a predictable path from there ... ...
firstly Its difficult to please me in this genre and I guess reading this book after The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo didn't contribute to the tragic narrative arc , author explored towards the end ....this is also where I felt the characters could have been fleshed out better (the helping ones as the protagonist is as multi faceted as it gets )
in a nutshell I was entertained while expecting something Brilliant .
all hopes on Malice now
Thank you Gehna for the recommendation and don't worry we are still friends :P

Format :paperback
Review :5 beautiful stars from the mysterious Agatha galaxy
I would love to write a review for this book when free
kam ki bat :
read it ...read it must ...then read it again ...read it 10 times and then go and read The Murder of Roger Ackroyd 12 times

Full Moon or A Damsel in Distress
any suggestions ?
I really want to read Gone, Baby, Gone next as it is infallible sacrosanct suggestion of our almighty strict mod but apparently my order was cancelled by bookchor who sent me back my money with a message "as bhi hum paytm se paise nahi lete ...nam hai bookchor .."...though they sent me rest three books placed in my order ... and a harry potter bookmark so I forgive them
I have rated Damsel in distress more, though to be frank both were read nearly a decade ago.. and I really can't enumerate the pros and cons of each.
Why not reading on Kindle?
btw, so start from first book. if you don't want to read the whole series then just read second and fourth book. they are the best in the series.

you are flaunting the RB sign, making us mortals extremely jealous.
☻☻☻"
that was my intention ...now that I have got my desired dil ko thandak mil ne wala comment ..it will be removed ASAP :P:P
and full moon it is but I need to finish lone fox dancing first after your review

I am kind of old school ... don't like kindle much ...baring few audio books(I have my choice of readers) I always long for a paperback or a hardcover ..
unless I cant wait for its delivery :)

going to read a Wodehouse and a Bond and watch a movie and eat some ice-creams ...
hell, I was a happy engineer ....

All stars that is there was there and will be and a piece of precious memory of yore days :)
And why he writes and I read and I write for what he writes for all of you to read ?
I don't know what I would do without a Bond book and may be these words would have never amalgated and remained in my head only to whisper in my ears , forever lost to the outside world.
His writings make me break the prison and my words bleed all colours of a rainbow
And it's better than bleeding red.
So I trade a piece of my sea for a memoir of his mountains . I read , I cherished , I laughed and paused , vexed and perplexed and cried like a ten year old .
When I read him and I read me I know the mountains are always his and I only tresspased , a bit at times and a lot at others .
Lovely poetry!
Did you read this at seaside? Or some other exotic location like some of his other books?
Beautiful lines bhai!

And so I started reading again ...
may be not with a speed I used to but that familiar feeling of holding a book , flipping through pages .... reminds me that everything has not changed ..... that there is a piece of past I can cling to .
A piece of past ... a piece of me beyond anyone's claim ...
A piece of world where I can be capricious and erratic and still be admired ...
A World of my own..that smells of peppermint , fresh grass and rain..
A memory of trees and far mountain and that lazy smoke from the coffee mug and an open book by the window whose pages are flipped and messed by a gust of wind...
Can you hear it ?
can you see it ?
that messed up open book by the window and that sound of rain drops on that glass pane... tud ..tud..tud ...tud...
And when you see me with a book don't think I am hiding behind it...
Its not that axiomatic....
I will always be an Enigma for you....
But open a book yourself ...
And I will be an open book for you...
and then..
" What if I were smiling and running into your arms? Would you see then what I see now? "
