There are plenty of litrpg series that have romance or none at all. If you want a strictly monogamous relationship, there's the emerilia series, delvers, Inc., way of the shaman, Neuro series - just to name a few.

The checklist for the James Bond kind of character since the 60's :-
- Over-powered Mc guffin.
- sports car (dragon or hover craft depending on the world)
- Women are kneeling infront of him begging for his..... "attention"
- Super cool villa / castle
Just look at any YA novel that has a male protagonist. he will always aim or get items on that checklist to mark his success.
A ridiculous weapon or ability that over-rides the game mechanics. A dragon or for the sake of variety maybe a large cat (panthers are in this season). Headquarter base that is conveniently located and prime realistate in the game yet only the MC notices it. May start as a fixer upper for like five minutes before going into fancy villa mode.
Not one but a league of beautiful women that we are told are independent, strong and rich but in reality are nothing but trophies. Same as in most books from the early 60's.
The ones in Litrpg that have a monogamous relationship are really no better. James bond just moved to the 80's where the status symbol became having just one girl that's a Mary Sue by your side and having her personality change constantly to fit whatever niche or plot you're going for currently.
As a woman I would like to assure everyone in the community that we are NOT aliens! Not that you can prove it anyway ;)

I do my best to avoid any kind of erotica and/or romance. All I want is magic and adventure! Anything you cant get in real life :)
Some harem books are okej simply because those parts are easy to skip and the story makes up for it
This.
I'll take a solid story with the ability to easily bypass, thanks.
I have a bigger issue with the general misogyny that we see in the genre and almost exclusively the Russian translations (ergo, not really been reading those too much lately).
I do have the Tamer novels on my to-read pile though.

Why you proberly ask only male authers. Its quite simple they often write about males as the MC. And as a male myself, I find that i can understand some drives maybe females dont have.
So here is a problem i have now. Newer books have now made women to a conquest, and often go into great description of how they fucked a lot of women or have a lot of women at home. And im tired of it. it feels like a check mark on some authers "How to make a book" List. And ohh BTW, this does not only demean women, but also men. It makes men look like, hey we only like sex, and if we could, we would have a sex slave kingdom.
It is rare we see a true romantic relationship like in Codex Alara series Or sword of truth series. Where they build a patnership to help each an other. Where there are drama about real life stuff. They have fundamental diffences and still work past it.
This shit about some guy having 30 girlfriends at home and they have no depth outside the intruduction they get, and how little cloths they have on is really shit tbh.
Please tell me how wrong i am.
PS. English is not my first language. so please pardon my mistakes in spelling.
