Ken (klsgrtx) | 13 comments I have a bit of a dilemma.

The hardback edition of "Hosting the Presence Every Day" by Bill Johnson, ISBN 978-0768405248, lists the book page count at 144. Even on Amazon. WorldCat and LOC do not list a page count for this book.

However, the book pages are unnumbered. There is, however, one day's devotion per page, with a blank page at the beginning of each month, which would put a page count around 377.

I have physically counted the leaves of the book, not including end-papers and there are 200 leaves (400 pages).

The devotional starts on page 7 and ends on page 391, with 6 blank, title, how-to pages at the beginning and 9 advertising, blank pages at the end.

So what is the correct page count? 377, 385 or 400? (obviously not 144).

Z-squared | 8575 comments Here is the bit from the manual about page numbering:

https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/2...

The advertising and blank pages at the end do not count. Beyond that, I'm not certain. I admit, I've never run into a book without page numbers before. Given the spirit of the manual, though, I don't think blank pages at the beginning should count. The title and how-to pages should count though. So with all that in mind, how many pages does that leave?

The page count is wrong in the following edition: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

The correct number is 224 pages: https://www.amazon.com/Batman-Knight-...

Since this thread is not linked to specific author or book, nor is one mentioned in its subject, you can add additional requests to it instead of starting a new thread. However, new threads are more likely to get a quick response.

As far as your request itself, please include the ISBN (or ASIN) of your edition with all page numbering requests, even if linking to the book.

Also, Amazon is not a good source for page count for anything other than Kindle and Audible editions. WorldCat is a much better source, and they have almost the same as we do (just off by 1). Unless you have the book in hand, and have confirmed that your count follows our guidelines (see https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/2...), the page count should not be changed.

Ok, the page count we already have here is the page count of the story. The extra pages are original covers and a chapter's original plot. I have the actual book and even in its index you can see for instance "gallery: 200p ; original plot 207p". Should I post a photo?
Also I just saw that we have also wrong the publication date. The correct one is -and both Amazon and Worldcat agree with me on that- November 2002.

So the added content brings it to 207 or 224?
