Kavitha Sivakumar | 626 comments Fortunately enough, I enjoyed all the books that I have read for readathon except promise of blood which I DNFed for present. Didn't expect to finish the books this fast. Like you, am happy with my progress too :) Sathish is currently reading Nilamellam Ratham which he seems to enjoy but distracted with other commitments.

Kan Bhalla | 36 comments Oh wow! Manju makes me feel like making a bigger effort to read more! June, unfortunately, has been exceptionally busy and I am still on my second book in readathon! Here's to faster movement rest of the month :)

Kan Bhalla | 36 comments Finished The Devotion of Suspect X in just two sittings. It was quite engaging. Would have preferred a different ending though.

Neha (nightbibliophile) | 233 comments I am go not doing good in the readathon, I picked my Mandatory reads - The Night Circus 3 days ago..and its small fonts are killing me... its a 486 pages book..
and small font makes it 550 above pages..

Though I have heard a lot of GOOD things about the book, that keeps me on to it.. But I am still not sure... (@)

*Books not present in Challenge, I have read some of them too. So it took me time to come to Mandatory reads*

aww... don't force yourself Neha. the objective of this readathon was to challenge yourself and enjoy whatever you are reading.

He he..
I have slowed down. No reading at all today
possibly I will start s small Agatha Christie tomorrow night and thst will be it.

Was a good month, but to be frank I didn't enjoy this at all. I hate planning and reading
I found that the element of intrigue and uncertainty as to what I will choose next is an integral part of me as a reader.

Would love to join in challenges where I read upon a particular topic with a week to finish... so that I will be able to carry on my other reads too.

Agreeeeed !!

Also my current read is so Good to be read Slow and gasp in events. So such types of reads not perfect for such readathons...
I know I am failing this readathon, so now I am taking my time to finish it...

Uni... your plan was perfect . Accolades for that. Just that I am a very undisciplined reader ... books foe me are like an array of various chocolates arranged at easy reach for a 3 year old ..So I can't just select and put 12 chocolates in a jar and convince myself to eat only those and not the others with the option of selecting 3 or so feom the outside array ... but not more than that .😝

LOLS... Seeing that chocolate analogy, I don't think I can eat just those chocolates either :-P :-P

message 133: by Kavitha (new)

Kavitha Sivakumar | 626 comments I really thought I wouldn't be able to finish the book A suitable boy, as I don't want to hurry and finish for readathon sake....but the story was so gripping after one character's attempted murder of another character....just couldn't stop....I finished it! Final tally 5,044 pages and 11 books. Updated message 15.
