ok i see that the topic is super generic, but SPoilers:

The girl and the guy meant to transport her fall in love as they cross a desert. i read this about 15 years ago. i remember something having to do with stones, wolf, the moon. there is some magic involved the guy who came to transport her was initially very closed off, and i think he is from some sort of tribe? it has been a long time. im not sure if this is enough to go on
