Finished "The Kind Worth Killing" by Peter Swanson. It was great. Plenty of twists and a very satisfying ending. Currently reading "Her Last Breath" by Dan Padavona. It is not so great. It's ok enough but just that. Ok enough. Very cookie cutter, garden variety, generic suspense novel.

Cicilie wrote: "Just started The Midnight Libary" I went into that book with high expectations and was very disappointed. I found the book preachy and pretentious. When I read the preview that it was about different realities I was expecting more along the lines of Stephen King's alternate universes and not someone on the brink of life and death thinking about other choices they could have made. it just was not my cup of tea. I just don't see what those who rave about it see in this book.
Just completed
Yesterday's Spy by Newsreader Tom BradbyTom Bradby Here's my 4 star review
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I am reading: Pleasures of the damned by Charles Bukowski,
Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky
The godfather by Mario Puzo
on shortness of life by Seneca
Lolita- sadly, this one has been on my currently reading list the longest. I find myself need a long, long break after reading the persona's mind on blaming a child for manipulating him into pedophilia. He does it so well that anyone would rebuke Lolita for being "The Enchantress", who rapes him. in these instances I find myself needing a moment to get back to my senses and be like "wait a minute. This is a child who is barely, a teenager!!!!" It is definitely one of those that would make you want to gouge your brain out but I'm not tossing it aside, not yet anyway.
I have just finished “The Overcoat” by Gogol. I have started the “Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows” by Balli Kaur Jaswal. We will discuss soon in our local book club 🤗 Anyone who read this book?
afragmentofblue wrote: "A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman."One of the best! I really loved that story. Hope you are enjoying the read, too!
I just finished
by Therese Anne Fowler. It got many mixed reviews. Although, the book had some flaws in it, I still really enjoyed it. I really like the way Therese Anne Fowler writes. I am also still reading the 2 books listed above, Great Circle and Before You Knew My Name, both very good books.
Jill wrote: "The Storyteller of Casablanca by Fiona Valpy"This sounds interesting. How do you like it so far?
Maureen wrote: "Just started "The Maid" by Nina Prose"I really enjoyed it; there was a lot of disparate opinion in the reviews.
Cicilie wrote: "Just started The Midnight Libary"I enjoyed this book very much. All the "what if" - but in the end, what she finds a reason to live made the story special and personal.
I finished the great upcoming book guide
. This is Free. If you are part of NetGalley has links to request and if not can just request a free copy for your Kindle. I love it, since I need more books 📚 🥰 Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I also got this cookbook. It is Vegan Indian, but you do not need to be Vegan. I am not. If you want to make the recipes exactly can do that or modify and add milk/yogurt/some meat.
