and Caste: The Origins of our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson
I read her The Warmth of Other Suns which was spectacular. I am sure I will be just as delighted with her newest offering.

Books with parallel universe are not my cup of tea but I’m glad I read it. Just starting This Is How It Always Is and just finishing A Man Called Ove (love it!).

Diana Paul | 10 comments i just started The Silent Patient. Intriguing psychological probing of suspected murderer. And the writing is very smooth and easy to follow the two first person narrators and quite a number of flashbacks. Definitely is keeping my interest!

Since I retired in April, I’ve read 11 books which is about 10 more than I normally would have.
Next up is The Alice Network.

Maggie | 3 comments I'm about to finish "A Woman of No Importance", historical non-fiction about WWII spy Virginia Hall. Embedded all over Nazi occupied France by England and then the U.S., Hall was the #1 spy the SS most wanted to capture. Time and again, she eluded German forces while single handedly organizing thousands of resistance guerrilla locals that nonstop disrupted and defeated the Germans all over France. Hall is someone all American students ought learn about in history classes.
