About to start His Only Wife by Peace Adzo Medie.
Can’t wait to hear what Laura thinks of His Only Wife—definitely on my TBR list! Just finished The Midnight Library, liked it...a little. Books with parallel universe are not my cup of tea but I’m glad I read it. Just starting This Is How It Always Is and just finishing A Man Called Ove (love it!).
I'm reading Gendered Brain by Gina Rippon. Excited to see how neuroscience can help fight against gender inequality!
Currently reading Untamed by Glennon Doyle. Its been giving me a lot to think about.
I just finished The Girl with the Louding Voice (so beautiful) and now I’m reading something light- Holidaze.
Catherine I'm sure I'll enjoy it. I didn't get far last night but I do seem to enjoy it. I will let you know.
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides! It’s a page turner and I’m loving it so far!

Just finished Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane and it was absolutely wonderful. I loved it so much
Currently reading American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins. I'm really enjoying how it weaves psychological trauma into a political issue.
Writers & Lovers by Lily King. I've been saving this for when nothing was grabbing my attention & I needed an easy, enjoyable read. I'm glad I did, halfway through & loving it!
I am currently reading "Wiesenstein" by Hans Pleschinski. It is a novel about the famous German writer Gerhart Hauptmann and his experiences during the last weeks of WW II.

Anybody else still having difficulty getting books from the library in the pandemic? Ours is still Contact free holds only and I can't seem to get them fast enough so I'm re-reading an old favorite, Airs Above the Ground by Mary Stewart.

Just finished The Guest List and going try 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. The beginning isn’t grabbing me and I returned it once. I am going to try again!
i just started The Silent Patient. Intriguing psychological probing of suspected murderer. And the writing is very smooth and easy to follow the two first person narrators and quite a number of flashbacks. Definitely is keeping my interest!

I recommend it.
Just finished Then She Was Gone by Lisa Jewel. Really a page turner. Couldn’t put it down. Since I retired in April, I’ve read 11 books which is about 10 more than I normally would have.
Next up is The Alice Network.
I’m now reading The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison and listening to A Single Swallow by Zhang Ling And also reading Zhuan Falun by Li Hongzhi
I'm about to finish "A Woman of No Importance", historical non-fiction about WWII spy Virginia Hall. Embedded all over Nazi occupied France by England and then the U.S., Hall was the #1 spy the SS most wanted to capture. Time and again, she eluded German forces while single handedly organizing thousands of resistance guerrilla locals that nonstop disrupted and defeated the Germans all over France. Hall is someone all American students ought learn about in history classes.
