DJ | 15 comments try Insanity Is Hereditary you get it from "Your Children(2023 edition);" and The Origin Of Words According to DJ. both are less than 200 pages and because of their engaging, entertaining, and unorthodox writing style even slow readers are finishing them in a couple of days. also the paperback copy is available on e-bay at a discounted price.

Avery Duffy | 3 comments I stumbled upon 'Calder Grit' by Janet Bailey and I’m glad to say it doesn't end with a cliffhanger that'll leave you screaming at the author. It's a happy ending, kind of like finding a dollar in your pocket that you forgot was there.

message 8778: by Kristine (new)

Kristine | 284 comments I just finished: Relative Strangers by A.H. Kim , A.H. Kim It’s a Retelling of Pride and Prejudice, but I have not read that book, so definitely Stands Alone. About 3 Generations of Women, who come together at a Cancer Retreat Center. Amelia has lost everything, her sister is still grieving her deceased husband after 12 years, and their Mom, Evelyn is about to lose her home. It’s about finding love and expanding your family to include others in it. Finding a way to move past grief and regret and so much love between this family.

Still Reading: The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese , Abraham Verghese. Excellent book, but slower pace and epic story across many decades. Like Reading this one slow and taking everything in.

The Night We Lost Him by Laura Dave , Laura Dave I’m 75% done and like this book. Brother and Sister suspicious about their Dad’s fall off a cliff and being called an accident. Perhaps, he has secrets in his past they did not know about. A big part of Laura Dave book is the pieces come together at the end. Will have to see if this one is as good The Last Thing He Told Me which I loved.
