Tracey | 9 comments I've just finished a marathon read of Nick Petrie "Peter Ash" series. If you like Jack Reacher by Lee Child you will like this.

Read Jo Nesbos latest "Harry Hole" and from the ending, there is going to be another.

Also read The Cane by Mary Jo Cuskelly. A great read, (did listen to part as audio but I've decided audio is not really my cup of tea). Set in northern Australian cane fields it is also an insight in to cane and small town living and thinking in that era (though some towns I have been in haven't moved much past the 1970's). Recommend.

Horse by Geraldine Brooks - this is a great story and also gave insight in to the American past, but how little has changed in many ways!! Didn't like the ending, but thought it was well done and fit right in with the message of the book.

Aubrie Elliot | 4 comments I am still reading THE LANGUAGE OF KIN by Lynne Hugo. The connections she is making with and about language is amazing. How we communicate with each other when words, spoken words, are not an option. How we communicate across species - with a reminder that primates (and I think by extension all animals) are sentient beings. It is a powerful, enjoyable read.

I enjoyed this story but didn't find the ending satisfying or conclusive. That brought it down from 4 to 3 stars for me. I did enjoy reading about the frustrations and complications of the process of an author publishing a book.

I read The Maid some time ago and gave it 5 stars. My review: I thoroughly enjoyed the book -- especially trying to sort out the facts due to the quirky version told by Molly The Maid.

William Wong | 7 comments Why I Hate & Love Pickleball And How You Will Too
Hi. I would like to introduce myself. I wrote "Why I Hate & Love Pickleball" which is about pickleball but really about becoming a better version of yourself as told through intimate stories of everyday people. Most non-fiction books bore me, so I allowed the emotions to drip off the page.

It is a love letter to the sport of pickleball, athletes, and all of us who have courage.
