I already am taken in by the story and beautiful writing. This is a retake about The Scarlet Letter. We learn the MC has Synesthesia, which means you use more then 1 or your senses. So, a word also takes on a color in her mind. This is fascinating, but at the time the book takes place, it can get one labeled a witch or insane.
Just finished The Yellow Wallpaper ! Very powerful and compelling. Now onto "Before the Coffee Gets Cold" by Toshikazu Kawaguchi.
Sarah wrote: "Body surfing by Anita shreve"I’ve read almost every novel by Anita Shreveport. I liked that one but a couple of other weren’t my favorites. I think my favorites were Changes in Altitude and Testimony.
Sarah wrote: "Welcome to the monkey house by Kurt Vonnegut"Great! I´d like to read from Kurt Vonnegut!! Hope you´re enjoying it?

I really enjoyed it a lot. I read his other book as well called slaughter house five and it was also very good. I highly recommend them. I also never read them until the last year or 2 and glad I did.
I just finished
. by Laurie Lico Albanese. This is a retelling of The Scarlet Letter, a prequel of the imagined woman in the book. I can not recommend it this enough. If, you enjoy HF, this is the best book I’ve read so far this year. It really was fantastic.
I can’t recommend Horse
highly enough. It may be my favorite of the year. My review:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I was thrilled to see your review of Horse. I think I am getting a copy from my library next week. Glad you loved it. 💕
Something Borrowed - Emily GiffinI just listened to the first chapter of the audiobook and I’m interested to see what happens next. I’ve seen the movie adaptation of the book and I loved it but I haven’t read the book. If I end up liking this book then I’ll read the sequel Something Blue.
I just started
, by Ellen Marie Wiseman. She is a favorite author of mine and this one I think will be really good. Sage Winters is looking for her identical twin sister who stays at the Willowbrook Institution. When she arrives no one believes that she is not her sister, Rosemary, so at this point they are locking her up since everyone thinks she is delusional. Think Sage is going to find out a lot is going on there.

I got an Advance Release Copy, meaning the publisher approves you early for leaving a Review of the book. Usually I use NetGalley for these.
The book is very emotional, and I lived in NY most of my life and heard of Willowbrook. I love Ellen Marie Wiseman and how she handles subjects others forget about, especially children. I really enjoyed The Orphan Collector. Did you read that one? I believe it is Free if you have Kindle Unlimited.
Love to know what you think about the book when you read it.

Joan~I agree. I learned so much and this was just incredible. You are right, it would be terrific if schools taught history like this.
