Is the series good ?

It's about how ever generation there are a small group of girls who are given the power by the goddess of beauty, to make someone beautiful. So they can change their shape, hair colour, nails, facial expressions and structures, anything the client wants.
And at 16 the Belles, that's what they're called, have to make a good appearance at an event in front of the people and the royal family. Here they are chosen if they will be named the Favourite by the queen and be the Belle at the palace. This is basically everyone's goal, but only one will get it

But the story goes on to reveal very interesting things about their gift

I'm currently reading The Water Knife. It's pretty good so far. I admit, I had to reread the beginning a few times, because the author kind of dropped me into the world with little explanation. So I was like..wait what? Who? lol But other than that, it's been a wild ride.
