Hi Cecily your review for my novel, Letters to the Pianist has been removed from Amazon US. When Amazon do this they often remove reviews from every book you have reviewed. You need to contact them to find out what has happened.

FYI to everyone on here. When Amazon remove reviews, the only way to get them reinstated is for the reviewer to contact them. When reviews have been taken off before, in both cases I know of, the reviewer has found that all their reviews had gone missing and they were blocked from reviewing. If this happens as in the case of Cecily where her review of my book has gone missing from Amazon US, then it's best to contact them through your Amazon central account to get a quick response and obviously not mention you were on a review group or that you got the book or free. You can say you were gifted a book as a present, as you can buy from any other shop and still review on Amazon.Because of this I now keep a list of all reviews on Amazon UK and Amazon UK so I can track who left the review, and contact them.

Thanks for your wonderful review, Bruce. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. And you're so right, I should have put all my historical notes at the end for anyone who was interested - especially as so much of it was based on factual evidence. I even researched historic info on microfiche to use Hitlers real life expressions in the letters :-)

Amazon is currently not allowing me to post any reviews, and have taken down all of my reviews that were already posted. This is a new development as of May 9. I will be happy to post reviews anywhere and everywhere else (wherever any of you would like me to post) until this is resolved.
Please don't contact me about missing reviews. I have authors sending me emails and messages all day, every day complaining to me about this. I am doing all I can to get the reviews reinstated, and the continued pressure from others isn't helping. Reminding me of how important Amazon reviews are to authors doesn't help either - obviously I am aware of this, and I've had reviews of my books removed from Amazon as well when this has happened to others.
As soon as my ability to review on Amazon is reinstated, I will post this review to Amazon.
Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding.
Cecily, post them when you can Amazon are being a bit funny, but it should iron itself out soon enough.

I am sorry to say that Amazon has permanently banned me from reviewing and refuses to reinstate hundreds of reviews, so I will no longer be participating in the review groups after I complete reviews for this one. I am still waiting for my round three title (A Queen's Spy and will read and review here on Goodreads once I have it in hand.

They have sent me three of these exact same emails after I called, chatted, and hassled them for three weeks - they took down ALL my reviews, for books I purchased as well as those I received in review groups or as ARCs:

It is scary that they can just do it - I'm glad I post reviews here on Goodreads as well, so I didn't lose them entirely. I just feel bad that there are authors I am supposed to review on Amazon and I can't now.
