Location - country, region, big city/small town?
It might help us if you mentioned the year you read this or the timeframe, I for one do not know when you where 15... Ben Elton comes to mind, but this is one of his books I have not yet read, so I cannot say much about it, blurb fits imho:

The book was about a group of people who were locked togheter in a house, they were constantly filmed by some kind of producers. The popular tv show took a twist when some of the participants were endangered but the producers didn’t help them and since they were locked up, they couldn’t flee. I read the book when i was 15 years old or so. I don’t remember an author or publishing date. I would really like to know what the book was called, so major thanks if you could help me.
