Thanks for all the good wishes on my recovery, just have to be patient, but they got just about every bit of.tumor out, so we are greatly relieved.
They had us in icu the whole time, no room in the neuro wing and I guess they needed space, and we could rest quite comfy at home (quieter then hospital, make needed room for sicker people).

So glad you're back, Susan!

I finally got to my library Saturday, and the librarian had never heard of Thirkell! But she's buying High Rising, so I should be able to join in late. I asked her just what we'd do if I got hooked, and she said, "Well, then, we'll have to inter-library loan, of course!" She's a sweetie, has been librarian for over 30 years, but her recommendations for me sometimes crack me up...
