Well, I'll be reading Where We Belong by Emily Giffin! I've had this on my shelf since 2013! YIKES!
Woo Hoo! I'm so excited for this. So my book is Force of Nature by Jane Harper and I'm stoked to finally have a reason to shove it up my TBR. <3

Yay! Glad to hear it. Which one are you reading Sam?
I am going to read " The Forgotten Garden " by Kate Morton. It's been on my tbr list for such a long time.
I joined GR on 1/01/12. Much of my TBR is books-I-want-to-read, so i had to suss out what i own. For the first 5 days as a GR member, I own 7 + 2 on Scribd. April is also Spring Into Horror Readathon at Seasons of Reading, so for "oldest" I'll start with Pressure
Oldest TBR
1/01/2012: 8 books. I own #7 PRESSURE by Jeff Strand
1/02/2012: 14 books. I own
EARTH IS NOT ALONE by John Knapp and
BROADMOOR REVEALED by Mark Stevens.-
1/03/2012: DRUM DANCE by Bonnie Tyrber.
1/05/2012: SUICIDE GIRLS IN THE AFTERLIFE by Gina Ranalli
On Scribd:
I KNOW THIS MUCH IS TRUE
WHAT ANGELS FEAR
I'm a "late bloomer," having joined GR in August 2015. I'm embarrassed to admit how many of the books I marked then remain unread in my list. I'll be reading Final Jeopardy by Linda Fairstein.
I will be reading, The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I am mentally preparing for the darkness ahead! The very first book I added to-read when joining Goodreads.
Lynne wrote: "I will be reading, The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I am mentally preparing for the darkness ahead! The very first book I added to-read when joining Goodreads."Great choice! That one's on my list too.
Maybe still not the oldest book in my TBR pile, this one dates back to 2015 - 'Lake Of Fire' by Mark Stevens. Only 13 pages in so far, but some good descriptive writing! :)
I am gong to read #3 of my "to-read" list as #1 is over 1,000 pages and I have too many ARC's to read and #2 is not even out yet (I have been waiting for years for Markus Zusak to finish Bridge of Clay) so #3 is The Mill River Recluse

What a great prompt ladies— I’ve been struggling as I’m trying to complete my pop sugar challenge (in order) and fill in the gaps sometimes while I’m waiting for a book from the library. I’m using the challenge to try to clean up my TBR shelf, so this ties right in!I chose The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal by Ben Mezrich for this month.
It’s been on my shelf since January 9, 2012. It must have been the day I joined because I have several marked to-read on that same day. I eliminated one I have coming up during my pop sugar challenge (Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mount Everest Disaster by Jon Krakauer) and Sing You Home by Jodi Picoult because I’m reading another of hers (Lone Wolf) for the challenge as well.
Happy reading!
The oldest book on my Goodreads TBR list is Fifty Shades of Grey 🤣 I guess it can now double for my pop sugar challenge as a book made into a movie I’ve already seen!

I'm going to try to read this one. I've been postponing it for too long now!"
It's a wonderful read! A very inspiring story.

Courtney wrote: "And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. I've had it on shelf since 2010 (crazy, right?)"One of my favorites!!!
I'm new to the group and so out of touch that I only have one book on my TBR list - Caraval by Stephanie Garber. I came across it in the Giveaways. Lately I've been reading Kristin Hannah and Susan Meissner. If anyone has historical fiction or women's fiction suggestions, I'd love to hear them. I'm a huge Jodi Picoult fan too.
Hi Nanette, Have you read " The secrets of a Charmed Life " by Meissner? I really LOVED that one. My favorite Kristin Hannah books are The Nightingale and Winter Garden. Lucinda Riley also has some really good reads I especially loved " The Midnight Rose" I also really enjoyed Georgia Hunter's book " We were the lucky ones " Welcome to our group btw.
I read The Mill River Recluse
It was a 4 star read for me! I really enjoyed it. Here is a link to my review:

I haven't read The Secrets of a Charmed Life. I love Susan Meissner and recently finished The Shape of Mercy about the Salem witch trials. Fascinating and so conflicting. She really got into some heartrending choices. I'll have to check out Secrets. The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah was superb. As long as it was, I didn't want it to end. Have not read Winter Garden yet. Just finished her novel Comfort & Joy - such a sweet story. Makes me want to write something similar. And Lucinda Riley and Georgia Hunter are new to me. I look forward to exploring them.
Thanks so much for the great tips.
My oldest (not yet read) book on my shelves is The Prayer Box by Lisa Wingate though I'm not sure I'll manage to read it this month. I discovered this thread only now and am pretty much behind with my planned books so I don't think I'll be able to add this 400 page book as well.
I bought the book I've chosen back when it came out but STILL haven't read it! It's not the oldest on my Goodreads TBR list but on my physical shelf of books, it's aging for sure LOL! I'm reading Forgotten by Catherine McKenzie.

And if you have any interest in delving into mysteries with tragic detectives, Tana French is the way to go.
Hi Nicole,Thanks so much for the recommendation. I hadn't heard of Hannah Kent or Burial Rites. It sounds like a fascinating story. Tragic detectives seem like wonderful characters but I don't read mysteries anymore, so I'll have to pass on Tana French.
Finally finished my April read which was Force of Nature by Jane Harper and WOW! It was incredible. Here's the link to my full review for those interested:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I am really thankful for this monthly prompt! Great idea! My book had been on my list for a long time and I doubt I would have ever read it had it not been for this group activity. I really enjoyed the book!! So thank you ladies for this prompt!!!!!
