So I just finished this section and I am really digging it. I have some ideas on the future but for now I shall keep them to myself. I get the competitive nature in some small part but her sister got real witchy towards the end there. She is clearly talented so why not focus on doing her best not acting petty. Maybe he does favor her (and I so want to see if something will happen between them later on) but e also is spending more time with her given she is behind so why is she jealous she needs more help. I also think he enjoys her more as she is like him and likes stories to help learn rather than just straight facts I can only imagine that it would make the teaching part more fun and less rigorous.

Not sure about his arm...wonder how he got hurt but I'm glad she won the book. Also this book....am I the only one thinking that they were talking about memories of the lineage coming up right after she had this out of body experience of the past so maybe....just saying the connection is in my head.

I can't wait to see what's going to happen. Also I think I would want to passion in knowledge too because 1 blue is my favorite color so cloak wise that would be my choice and I'm not sure how I'd do at the others but reading I got though my memory is kinda spastic....

I wonder if she ever gave the blurry letter to her sister? Random but still on my mind.

I've been so looking forward to reading this! I've had my eyes out for it since last year and I couldn't wait to get my pre-order. Let me just say that The Queen's Rising did not disappoint so far. I am really in love with the story Rebecca Ross wrote.

Brienna is such a well rounded character. She was easy to love from the prologue and she just continues to grow. I am really enjoying reading about her connection to Cartier is so well written.

I am also really enjoying the concept of different arials: art, music, dramatics, wit, and knowledge. I understand why the house usually accepts only one arden for each passion, it's hard not to compete with someone when your future depends on it and the number of patrons is limited. I do wish that Ciri would be a bit more confident in herself. She does have a four year advantage over Brienna.

I think the story that Brienna's grandfather told the Dowager of Magnalia will come back and play a huge part in the story. I think that the out of body experience with the Maevana lineage is definitely hinting at some huge connection.

I can't wait to see where the story goes next!
