I am on my second round of beta readers and am on the hunt for someone who can hopefully help me out with some of the more sensitive issues. Specifically, my novel includes:
*LGBT characters
*depression
*thoughts of suicide (NOTHING graphic)
*alchoholism
The novel is an 89k fairytale retelling of Beauty and the Beast for a YA/NA audience. It has no explicit sex scenes, though it's heavy on the romance. I am currently in the midst of new edits from my last round of beta readers, so I plan to have it ready to be sent out in about a week.
Some other things to know:
*I am looking for a KIND reader. If I have made an error, please be polite in telling me so as I am being as sensitive as possible in my writing. If you are accustomed to using words such as "idiot", "stupid", "a*hole", or "moron" to describe someone else's characters, please do not contact me.
*I am looking for a fast turnaround, preferably 7-10 days. I understand this is quick.
* I WILL be sending this out to a professional editor and proofreader. I have striven to provide a clean copy but there likely remains errors.
