It has a female heroine who is very smart.
It has a crime boss who planted a recording device in the scalp of an albino woman and used this device to brain wash her; she kept hearing "voices in her head" that commanded her to do things.
In one of the stories, one of the regular characters was thrown off a plane in the night; however, he landed on a pack of wild sheep and survived the fall and found a way to reconnect with the other characters.
Another character had some medical training but was a little weird; he eventually married the albino woman
