This book/author was one of my favorites in middle school (early 2000s). The cover has orange groves on it with the title in a black and white box centered in the middle. The book was about a young girl growing up on the orange groves with a lose romance to it. The book covered some racial issues of the day and I remember the girl and her “love interest” went to the workers side of camp against their parents rules and I THINK there was a fire in the groves... any ideas?
