In truth, everyone in Vatican Square, and indeed most of Rome would suffer potentially fatal numbers of broken bones and extensive burns across most of their bodies almost instantly, and so the radiation would be the lease of their probelems

I understand that when there is a matter/antimatter collision that tremendous amounts of gamma rays are given off.
