I always suggest 'Death in Venice' on such occasions, because it's short and well-known! And by my favourite author. I would love to get some more insight into Hispanic literature - it looks like we couldn't bond so far, I'm not that receptive to this cultural circle...
Scotland also interests me, I have a soft spot for wet meadows it seems!
Cheers,
Sebastian

Always happy to hear book recommendations Bill. :)
Sebastian, I studies Hispanic Studies at uni and am interested in all things related, from music to literature to cinema... What to recommend to someone who perhaps isn't as obsessed as me?! Maybe Kiss of the Spider Woman or The Dream of the Celt?

I'm a 37 year old bisexual woman from Scotland who loves reading. I am interested in all sorts of literature but especially Hispanic lit and, more recently, have been reading a lot of feminist lit. I got a few lgbt recommendations from a friend a couple of weeks ago and realised that my reading was lacking in this area. I'm here to learn!
Looking forward to getting stuck in.
