Fat Vampire by Adam Rex?

Has anyone read a book by this same title by Adam Rex? I did so several years ago and when I saw Fat Vampire 2 I thought I MUST read this follow-up to such an incredible book. Imagine my surprise when Fat Vampire 2 was NOT a follow-up to the wonderful book I read. I'm a bit annoyed but now I want to read the first in this series to see how closely it follows the one by Adam Rex. If you haven't read that one yet, do so. Its incredible! My hope is that Johnny B. Truant's book is even half as good.
