SOLVED. Contemporary romance book set in a small town in which hero has a tortured past and doesn't speak much. Spoilers ahead. [s]

I read this book sometime ago and can't remember its title or author's name.
please help me find the book as I want to read it again and similar plot books.
In this book:
- in the prologue, hero is fighting in a ring and is being tortured and he thinks that when he was brought to the place he had a lot fight in him, he tried to be strong and fight and get out of there but now he's broken and has no fight left and just then amidst the fight he sees a red rose or some flower or something that gives him strength.
- in chapter 1 or after , its after few years, heroine is new in the small town and has just moved in then after sometime heroine is cycling on the road or something and meets the hero and hero frowns or gets rude with heroine
-hero works as a carpenter or constructor or something in the town and he does not speak much with people in town and the ladies especially three or four ladies flirt with him try to seduce him and use him
-hero first thinks that heroine is similar to those ladies but later gets to know her and starts to fall for her
-it is later revealed by hero that he is russian or something was sold as a child and was forced to fight and do bad things
-at last hero compares heroine with the thing he saw in the prologue that it showed light in the darkness and she is his saving grace.

I think it's a new release or maybe old.

Sorry, this is not the book.
Its set up in small town.
Heroine lives in a home not in a apartment.
Hero has a home too with big space or garden.
He sometimes works there on splitting woods or carpentery or something similar.
There's also an old lady who's friendly with hero and heroine.

Sorry this is not the book.
But it's kind of similar to it.
The book which I am looking for compares heroine to something that is significant for hero in the book's prologue where he sees something as light in darkness.
Book's title also I think states the same as that thing.
And also hero can speak but he chooses not to talk to everyone.
