Midnights is the story of Mags and Noel, who met just before midnight on NYE when they were 15. It was the birth of a wonderful friendship–and, of course, love–told by three subsequent NYE midnights. It’s YA and syrupy and predictable, but it’s Rainbow Rowell so it’s so so sweet and relatable and cute!

Kindred Spirits is Elena, 18, going to queue outside a movie theatre for four days before the new Star Wars movie. She’s expecting hundreds of other nerds like her and a big party, but in these days of streaming and buying tickets online, there are only two other people there. No romance in this one, just a big load of love for fandoms and fangirls/boys from a wonderful author who is clearly a fangirl herself (I mean, just read Fangirl and Carry On)
