honestly can’t remember a lot about this as I read it so long ago! What I do remember is the main conflict in the book is that the heroes wife was kidnapped years before and was pronounced dead. When the heroine comes in he is reluctant to be with her at first but they do end up together and I think they get married and have a baby. The epilogue of this book was the original wife escaping from the house she had been kept in. I think it was in a woods. I’m trying to find the book so I can read the sequel! Any help is appreciated 😀
