Edition or separate works?

This author wrote a book called Rochester Route: Tours of Monroe County's Historic Places. I found that there were audio cassette and CD adaptations made so you could do your own driving tour. The descriptions say that they are "excerpts" read by Cindy Boyer and "based on the book by Patricia Braus." I have added them as two editions of a separate work, but should they be combined with the book?

Sounds like they should be separate. They sound like adaptations to me.

If they are adaptations, they should not be combined with the original.
