I guess we should get back to discussing characters we hate... this has gotten a little off topic. My apologies ^~^

And yeah that makes sense! Maybe we should make a new thread to discuss movie castings in general?? :)

I agree with how indecisive she was. She continuously broke both Maxon and Aspen's hearts with her constantly going back and forth between them!
Erin wrote: "Lara from looking for Alaska"I agree! I thought her accent was funny, but she was an unnecessary character in my opinion.

I thought her accent was super annoying! Yes she was VERY irrelevant!!

her accent was pretty annoying... sometimes I would just be like "what?" at her lines and then read them five times till I got a feel of how it could sound like without sounding stupid. I kept imagining her as Tinka from that Disney Channel show, Shake It Up (and I don't even like that show), which made her look even more like a caricature in my mind
Coincidentally, I thought Tinka was one of the only interesting characters on that show, but Lara still felt like John Green was purposefully trying to do that European-immigrant-with-strong-accent trope and I was just like... no...
Yeah, that's a given. I mean, some people quite like Voldemort, but EVERYONE despises Umbridge, and would have been absolutely delighted if she'd never appeared again after the fifth book.
I absolutely hated Clance (please never say 'Clancy' in front of me. NEVER.) from The Darkest Minds (especially in the first book). Ugh, he just got my nerves.
Oh he's just so, urgh, y'know? There's not really a word for it. He starts of kind of slippery/ slimey, then he's manipulative, then he's an git, and he just continues being a manipulative git until the end of Never Fade. The other ones in DM that I really didn't like were Martin, Rob and Cate.

I can't even...you have no idea how much I detest Rob and Cate. Hmph, fancy Vida loving Cate...

I think she's the one HP character that every fan hated
Yup, the absolute worst! She gives cats a bad rep :( I love cats
Another character I hate is from Sherlock the show:
Sergeant Donovan!!!! She's the worst
Sergeant Donovan!!!! She's the worst
Can we also do TV and film characters?
If so, I really didn't like James from Twin Peaks. He was just really boring.
