NOT A BOOK - but it is!

And yet, Lectures in Literature by Nabokov (which is literally transcribed lectures he gave) has not been been changed to NOT A BOOK. Nor has his Lectures on Russian Literature. What about Lectures on Calvinism by Abraham Kuyper? Again, transcribed lectures he gave at Princeton. Problems of Knowledge and Freedom: The Russell Lectures by Noam Chomsky are lectures delivered at Cambridge University. That also hasn't been edited. What about Feynman lectures, considered a classic? Seriously, there are are hundreds of actual transcribed lectures on Goodreads. Just do a search for lectures and over 100 pages come up, all marked as books. This is not about lectures, or all these books would be changed too. This is some gripe Goodreads has against The Great Courses.

They have not answered the question that Cheryl asked multiple times. What specific part of the librarian manual disallows these?
"An audiobook is ... not a lecture that was never a book"
Some, not all, of the Great Lectures *are* a book plus a lecture series supporting the book. Even though the book is not sold separately, it's a real book that is distinct from the lectures.
I rarely use audiobooks personally, so this doesn't affect me much.

I'm also reaching the same conclusion. Though, I'm completely puzzled by it.

Can you please share which message post shows the goodreads policy on why they don't count?

On the other note it has never been policy that the lectures were allowed (so that has not changed), it is just that people were ignoring them, or just were not running into them.
