GR has repeated itself over and over, yet has still not responded to its users. It simply does not care what we have to say or how we wish to use this site. It's a wonder they even have a feedback option when they clearly don't want to listen to it.
They have responded to their users, just not in a way that you like.

What about Feynman lectures, considered a classic? Seriously, there are are hundreds of actual transcribed lectures on Goodreads. Just do a search for lectures and over 100 pages come up, all marked as books. This is not about lectures, or all these books would be changed too. This is some gripe Goodreads has against The Great Courses.
Actually, goodreads staff have NOT responded showing where it is in the policy that the Great Courses are not books. That is why we are being ignored; they cannot back up the change in goodreads policy.

Some, not all, of the Great Lectures *are* a book plus a lecture series supporting the book. Even though the book is not sold separately, it's a real book that is distinct from the lectures.
I rarely use audiobooks personally, so this doesn't affect me much.

This thread no longer seems to be productive, so we are closing it. Once a decision has been made, we will let you know what it is. In the meantime, all Goodreads Librarians are expected to follow the current policy. While no Librarian is ever required to make edits to works on Goodreads, all edits are expected to follow current policy.

On the other note it has never been policy that the lectures were allowed (so that has not changed), it is just that people were ignoring them, or just were not running into them.
