Dev began thinking right away. It would have to be something special.

Hannah nodded with a smile. 'Your pick,' she signed and then gestured to the box full of them. 'I can make more popcorn. Or try.'

'We still have some,' ge said, before reaching for the box of movies.

She wrinkled her nose. It was cold popcorn now, which wasn't quite as good. Still she shrugged and settled back into the couch again to wait for his choice.

Dev picked one and passed it to her. The cover had a lot of different characters on it so he assumed it would be interesting.

Hannah looked it over and nodded in approval before going to put it in the dvd player. She hadn't brought any movies she didn't like, of course.

Dev didn't normally do anything with Hannah at his place. Not for a very long time, at least. He spent much of the past week scrubbing the restroom, the kitchen sink, and removing all of the accumulated dust.

He had been meaning to invite Hannah over since they decided to go on dates. It always seemed like a lot of work for Hannah to have to make her home acceptable for him. He didn't expect her to do extra just for him.

Hannah wasn't sure why they usually hung out at her house, but she was looking forward to spending time at Dev's house instead. It meant she wouldn't have to be concerned about the dogs, which was a relief. She lived them but she needed a break sometimes. Even if Lupe was always on her.mind. And even when she was anxious now, she knew it would be relieved while she actually was with Dev.

Dev had been sitting by the window, waiting for Hannah to come up the drive. He didn't want to make her feel like she'd taken too long or like he was creepily waiting for her so he didn't make it obvious when he greeted her at the door.

Hannah smiled at him when he met her at the door before she even knocked. She didn't think anything of it. But her cheeks still blushed red because she was happy. It was just a natural thing. She gave him a small wave of greeting.

'How are you?' He signed, smiling at how beautiful she always looked.

'I'm good,' she signed back, and it was honestly true. It felt like that was something that was rarely true but now it was.

He gave her an affectionate hug, pleased that she really did seem happy. She seemed a little off the last time they'd spoken.

She smiled a little and hugged him back. It seemed silly that she'd been nervous all this morning. It's why this was clearly all in her head. Hopefully.

He let her go and stepped back to let her come fully into the living room.
'So, what did you do this morning?'

'The puppies needed a bath, so that took pretty much all morning,' she signed as she stepped inside. It had been a good distraction, and motivation to clean up better before she came over.

He laughed at the thought of her attempting to wash them. 'That must have been entertaining at least.'

'It was a lot of fun,' she confessed and laughed a little. 'Rex lost his mind. He loved it so much he was jumping all around the bathtub.'

'That does not surprise me.' He laughed. "I would suggest doing it outside but it has been a lot cooler lately,' Dev said.

'It's getting cold again. Plus I can keep them locked in the bathroom inside. It wasn't so bad,' she signed, smiling still. It had been a lot of fun, and she didn't think it would be so fun if she had to chase them down.

It made sense to keep them contained, especially Rex.
'You've got the right idea,' he agreed.

'Anything but water. I've had enough of it today,' she signed with a laugh.

'I really hope you weren't drinking the bath water,' Dev teased. He gestured for her to follow into his kitchen.

Hannah had to laugh because of course she hadn't, but it sure had sounded like it. 'No, but I'm still water logged,' she replied and followed him to the kitchen.

Dev thought of what Hannah usually had to drink before looking inside of his refrigerator. It wasn't used very often so he had gotten accustomed to thinking of what he wanted and it showing up when he looked.

'Lemonade?' He signed, seeing that a jug had appeared inside.

Hannah nodded and signed a please. She liked lemonade though she was always picky about the sour sweet ratio.

He took it out and retrieved a fancy glass from his cabinets, making sure that it wasn't dusty inside before pouring in the pink liquid.

Dev set it on the counter for her. 'For you, m' lady.'

She signed a thank you and sat at the counter to drink her drink. She knew herself and if she didn't sit it was sure to spill. 'So how has your day been?' she signed, unsure if she'd asked him yet.

'Good. I also did some cleaning today. I'm not here very often so the dust had settled. But now it all sparkles,' Dev told her.

'I guess I should come over more and kick up the dust for you,' Hannah joked and glanced around his cabin. It was very clean, especially compared to her place which felt to be in a constant state of messy.

He smiled at her, finding her to be cute and amusing. 'You can come over any time. Now that we're courting each other exclusively.'

She blushed a little, which by her standards meant very little. Her whole face practically bloomed red. 'I still wouldn't want to impose on you. You need your space too sometimes.'

'You're welcome anytime,' Dev told her. 'There's always an exception for you.'

He got a glass of water from the tap for himself and stood at the counter.
'So are we still going to do something artsy today?'

'If you still want to, I'm all for it,' Hannah answered. She got nervous about letting people see her art and considering she'd also never had someone actually watch her do it she was doubly nervous, even if he would be doing it too. Art in any capacity felt so vulnerable to her she could barely stand it.

He nodded. 'I didn't know what we needed so I thought we could go pick it up together.'

'That sounds like a good idea,' she replied. She probably could have brought some things but it wouldn't have been easy to get it and she was likely to forget something anyway.

'I found a newer shop in town. It's called Pots & Paintbrushes or something like that,' Dev signed to her.

'I haven't heard of it before,' Hannah signed. It must be rather new then, not that she went into town all that often without him.

'It's technically in the village. Deeper than we usually go,' Dev signed to her. He vaguely knew of the towns relationship with the school and how little many of them trusted the students.

Hannah nodded. She rarely went over that way except for the bakery and sometimes that restaurant. Never quite far into the village at all. 'Im sure it's really nice. Are we going now?'

'We can,' He signed with a nod. 'How cold is out today?'

'Not very cold. But not warm either,' she signed, not knowing the exact temperature.

'Were you warm enough on your walk? I can get you another sweater,' He offered.

She smiled because it was sweet of him to worry. 'I'm already wearing four layers, so I'm fine. But thank you. You'll need a coat though.'

'Sure. I'll grab one,' He signed. He didn't really need one but it wouldn't hurt to put it on. And he didn't like to stick out more than he already did.

She didn't know how much the cold affected him, but she didn't want him to get chilly while they were out. It was a decently far walk so she worried. 'When do you want to go?'
