As 2017 came to an end, the ''Me Too'' movement had left an important impact on Hollywood history, yet , what many people seem to ignore is the much smaller ''Me Too", the book community's ''Me Too'',
As a lot of you are well aware , Jay Asher, author of ''thirteen reasons why'', had been accused of sexual misconduct, but as he got the negative attention he surely deserves, another Trash bag had been left out, a trash bag that had won the hearts of rape apologists and seemed to slowly drift away as people refused to acknowledge he's mistakes, James Dashner, author of the famous ''Maze runner'' series and Father of 4 children, accused of sexual harassment and MONTHS of manipulation, grooming and gaslighting.
earlier this year, comments made by an anonymous underage person were written in a school journal mentioning the suffering and sexual abuse made by James himself, it didn't take long until James, who was not charged since the anonymous victim did not press any charges (sadly), wrote a half-assed ''apology'' letter on his twitter page, saying
"I've taken these past few days for introspection, to see if I've been part of the problem, i think that i have".
so there you have it!, a man openly admitting on sexual assault, now although he's publishing company, Penguin Random house, stated that it will not publish any further books by him, James's career is still striving!
As Death cure hit theaters, it was a success as it made $281,788,116 worldwide, and with that, James's going to benefit A LOT from this, other than this, James is NOT actively receiving hate, in fact, it's quiet the opposite, James's been getting a lot of support from Rape apolo-, sorry, he's ''fans'', and a huge number of them are saying they ''forgive him'', they forgive him for a crime they were not the victim of!, so it's very clear James had not been effected by this in anyway, he's been enjoying he's life and retweeting oscar wins, as if he never just destroyed another person's entire life, which is why i chose to write this, to shed light and share awareness on subject i personally think should NEVER be forgotten,
Sexual assault IS sexual assault, you do it, there's no coming back, there's no ''apology'', and there is certainly no forgiveness, a person just suffered on the hands of James and that is a fact we sadly can't change, However, what we can do is we can keep this alive, we shall NEVER forget this, because when we give these sick people another chance, we are ALLOWING them to do what they did again!
