I struggled to get through this in parts - largely because there was too much over-thinking going on in the heads of the two protags - Marc (human) and Hamm (feline alien). I've read a few human-alien romance-attractions already and this does not rank amongst the better ones.
It started interestingly enough with Marc and Hamm attacking each other at the start - but once the pheromones came into play and the logic went southwards to the groin - things kinda fell apart for me. The bulk of the plot takes place over 2 days whereby humans and aliens have to come to some sort of truce and treaty without resorting to all out warfare.
Having the chapters alternate from each MCs POV was not distracting but the pacing was too dragged out, too angsty slow, too much tension and high drama (and I cannot believe I'm saying this - for all the pheromone laden assaults on Marc - there ended up being little to NO M-M action depicted at all!); one or two judiciously worded hawt sex passages would have helped rather than hindered the plot in this book methinks.
